01 Overview
BlueDrop is an Android application that automatically saves your parking location when your vehicle's Bluetooth device disconnects. This policy describes what data the app collects, how it is used, and what rights you have over it.
02 Data collected
GPS location
BlueDrop accesses the device's precise location in the background to record the exact coordinates at the moment your vehicle's Bluetooth disconnects. This location is stored solely on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.
Bluetooth device information
The app reads the name and MAC address of the paired Bluetooth devices you select. This information is used exclusively to identify when your vehicle disconnects and is never sent to any external server.
Parking records
Each time a disconnect from a monitored device is detected, the app locally stores: GPS coordinates, street address (obtained via Android's geocoding service), date and time, and the Bluetooth device name. You may optionally attach a photo and a note to each record.
Photos
Photos taken of the parking location are stored in the app's private storage on your device. They are not uploaded to any external service.
03 How data is used
All collected data is used exclusively to provide the app's core functionality: showing you where you parked your vehicle. It is not used for advertising, behavioral analytics, or any other purpose.
04 Storage and security
Data is accessible only from within the app itself and is deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its data from Android's system settings.
The only network request the app makes is downloading map tiles from OpenStreetMap (openstreetmap.org) to display the map. This exposes only your device's IP address to OpenStreetMap — the same as visiting any website. BlueDrop has no control over what OpenStreetMap may log; see their policy at openstreetmap.org/privacy.
05 Data sharing
BlueDrop does not share any personal data with third parties. No advertising SDKs, analytics libraries, or social network integrations are included.
